[Facilitator's note: Thank you to Sofie Arjon Schuette, Advisor, U4 Anti-Corruption Resource Center at the Chr. Michelsen Institute, for sharing this information.]

The U4 Anti-Corruption Resource Centre has just published the introduction chapter to a new U4 Issue Corruption Risks in the Criminal Justice Chain and Tools for Assessment.

The paper gives an overview of where corruption is most likely to arise within investigations, arrest, detention, prosecution, and trials. It also explains existing tools to assess these risks.

From January 2015, U4 will release the other chapters one by one.

U4 invites you to its linked-in group for updates, and to interact with the authors. They will respond to comments and questions in these weeks:

•    Investigations (12-16 January), Jay Albanese

•    Prosecutions (19-23 January), Heike Gramckow

•    Trials (26-30 January), Victoria Jennett

•    Detention and corrections  (2-6 February), Gary Hill
