COMMENTARY: Nepal - Transgression of authority

"Last month, the new president of Indonesia Joko Widodo’s unprecedented move in getting his nominees for Cabinet ministers appraised and approved by Indonesia’s anti-graft agency, the KPK, triggered a debate on the power and jurisdiction of the organisation, including President Widodo’s wisdom in consulting the agency. Had such an event happened in Nepal, it would have been unbelievable, something next to impossible."
