Give Malaysia anti-graft agency more bite, MPs told

Anti-graft group Centre to Combat Corruption and Cronyism (C4) is lobbying for parliamentarians to enhance the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission’s (MACC) enforcement rights. C4 recommends amending sections of the law that currently limits graft busters from investigating those with suspicious wealth. Other recommendations in­­clu­­­ded setting up an independent legal services commission to ensure investigations are done transparently and protected tenure for the chief commissioner’s job.
