AP-INTACT -- Looking forward to vigorous exchanges of info in 2015!
Dear colleagues,
Thank you very much for strongly supporting our Asia-Pacific Integrity in Action (AP-INTACT) online community in 2014!
We start this New Year with nearly 800 members (44% female, 56% male) from 62 countries.
Our members come from a diverse group of organizations, including anti-corruption agencies, NGOs, aid agencies, donors, parliament, government institutions, media, judiciary, private sector, academe, research centres, UNDP, UNODC, and other UN agencies.
In 2014, AP-INTACT posted nearly 900 individual e-mail messages (anti-corruption news, op-eds, studies, publications, job opportunities, announcements). AP-INTACT's daily posts come mainly from two sources: (1) Contributions by members; and, (2) anti-corruption data streams from various sources.
In 2014, AP-INTACT hosted an e-query from a member based in Switzerland who sought information on cases of fraud and corruption in the Timber and Oil & Gas industries.
We also co-hosted an e-discussion on "Judicial Integrity: Assessing Challenges & Results of Capacity Dev't Interventions” in partnership with UNDP New York Office and the U4 Anti-Corruption Resource Centre (CMI).
AP-INTACT also gave members an opportunity to join an e-consultation on Illicit Financial Flows.
In addition to its email posts, AP-INTACT also maintains a Twitter account (@APINTACTNetwork), which it uses to mirror all daily posts as well as re-Tweet or 'favorite' anti-corruption information from other sources. So far, AP-INTACT has sent out more than 2,300 Tweets and Retweets. It currently has 160 Twitter followers.
AP-INTACT also maintains two blogs spaces: http://newsbin-apintact.blogspot.com/ (518 posts) and http://newsbin-general-anticoruption.blogspot.com/ (252 posts) to archive its daily posts and expand the reach of its messages, as well as share more general anti-corruption information.
AP-INTACT posts are uploaded to the E-Library Section of the Global Anti-Corruption Portal for Development (http://www.anti-corruption.org/index.php/en/). Our two blog spaces are automatically mirrored in the Global Portal's home page as Daily News Feeds.
We look forward to even more vigorous exchanges of information in 2015!
