[ap-intact] INFO: India anti-corruption agency in 2014 - eye on multi-crore scams, anti-graft measures

Timely supervision on multi-crore scams being probed by India’s Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) and a slew of measures to check corruption in government departments kept the Central Vigilance Commission (CVC), working without its regular chief, in the news this 2014. Acting tough on graft complaints, the CVC referred various cases of corruption to the CBI for detailed probe and sought strict oversight from major regulatory agencies including the Securities and Exchange Board of India, Forward Markets Commission,  and the Telecom Regulatory Authority.
