‘Corruption’ is first word on Malaysians’ minds when thinking of government, survey says

Most Malaysians immediately think of “corruption” when asked to talk about their government. In the Corporate Perception Indicator 2014 survey jointly carried out by CNBC and Burson-Marsteller, nearly 1,100 Malaysians were asked the open-ended question, “What is the first thing that comes to the mind when you think of the government?” The answer was “corruption”, which was also the most popular word in most of the 25 countries surveyed.
