New Zealand Financial Markets Authority releases Anti-Money Laundering and Countering Financing of Terrorism Monitoring Report

The Financial Markets Authority (FMA) of New Zealand recently published its Anti-Money Laundering and Countering Financing of Terrorism Monitoring Report (Report), summarising the FMA’s monitoring results. The purpose of the Report is to help reporting entities gain a better understanding of the FMA’s expectations around anti-money laundering and countering financing of terrorism (AML/CFT) compliance, and to suggest how reporting entities can make improvements to their systems and processes to ensure compliance with the AML/CFT Act.
