Harsher penalties to be applied against Thai officials guilty of corruption

Thailand's National Anti-Corruption Commission (NACC) is pushing forward more stern punishment against politicians and government officials involved in corruption. The NACC has proposed a draft organic law on counter corruption, which will subject corrupt officials to lifetime imprisonment or the death penalty.
