Access to info law helps eradicate corruption in Afghanisan
Afghanistan's Lower House has passed an Access to Information Law. “The Access to Information Law provides journalists with unrestricted and easy access to information and helps them expose surreptitious activities in government administrations,” said Sediqullah Tawhidim, head of the advocacy group, Supporting Open Media in Afghanistan (SOMA). The new law will be implemented by a special government commission, which will investigate cases of any government agency or official denying information to the media.
