South Korea releasing information on public servants' assets
South Korea will make the assets of senior public servants available to the public. The Director General of the Ministry of Security and Public Administration told the Asia-Pacific Regional Meeting of the Open Government Partnership held 6-7 May 2014 in Bali, Indonesia, that his country is “trying to make policymakers more accountable and… improve civil service integrity through ethics committees.” He added that “senior civil servants are [actually] subject to asset disclosures.”
