Myanmar graft scandal "buried in maze of bureaucracy"?

According to a report in Myanmar Times, the lack of transparency surrounding the investigation into former Minister for Communications, Posts and Telegraphs U Thein Tun and up to 50 ministry staff has been buried in a maze of bureaucracy in the Ministry of Home Affair. After 18 months, local police who originally received the complaint reportedly are still waiting to learn if they should file charges. None of the corruption-fighting bodies that have been formed under U Thein Sein appear to be involved in the investigation or decision-making process.
