Justice after COVID-19 / India Cannot Expect to Beat Covid-19 Without Tackling Hate and Corruption / Viet Nam Corruption fight

A "new possible" for justice after COVID-19: towards digital, open and inclusive courts (blog). "Justice systems, in response to the COVID-19 pandemic, can decide to adopt a people-centered approach to justice, remove barriers to innovation and technologies that can revolutionize the way in which justice is delivered, and establish open, inclusive, fair and accountable mechanisms that inspire trust in the institutions. With the Judicial Integrity Network in ASEAN series of webinars, UNDP is currently supporting courts in fostering innovation, discussing challenges and presenting possible solutions."

India Cannot Expect to Beat Covid-19 Without Tackling Hate and Corruption. "No government can be fully prepared to handle global contagion, but repressive and corrupt practices are even more harmful under these conditions. Even after Covid-19 is no longer a public health emergency, taking the steps now to correct these practices will help overcome the other human rights challenges confronting Indians. That should be the actual impact."

(Viet Nam) Corruption fight must put common interest above all. "Addressing the meeting, Party and State leader Trọng said that despite COVID-19 and a heavy workload, including preparations for all-level Party congresses, the battle against corruption has not ceased but continued at full speed. But he requested people must not become complacent, noting that in a very short period of time between now and the 13th National Party Congress, much work needs to be done. Calling for stronger efforts fighting corruption, he said prevention and control must be carried out in a stringent, prompt, but also prudent and persuasive manner that is open to public opinion, ensures solidarity, and puts the common interest above all"
