"In the midst of all the mayhem and life lost in the Middle East, the standoff with Russia, missing Nigerians schoolgirls, and now an Ebola epidemic spreading, I was trying to avoid writing something depressing about the state of the world today. I came up empty until I watched Fareed Zakaria on CNN this past Sunday. Apparently, he was reminiscing about the same dilemma. But then he managed to drum up a bit of good news: Indonesia, a shining beacon in this frenzied world."
