[ap-intact] INFO: Break the corruption chain in the judiciary!

[Facilitator's note: Thank you to Elodie Beth, Regional Anti-Corruption Advisor, and Liviana Zorzi, Programme Officer on Transparency, Accountability and Anti-corruption, UNDP Bangkok Regional Hub, for sharing this information.]

Today is the International Day against Corruption.

We would like to join our voices to the global campaign to show how corruption in the judiciary creates a vicious cycle of crime, undermining access to justice, fueling poverty, and depriving victims of their rights to a fair trial.

Now is the time to break the corruption chain in the judiciary!

It has been done before—here are stories from Nigeria, Indonesia, Bosnia-Herzegovina, and Afghanistan.

More to come with the forthcoming report on “A Transparent and Accountable Judiciary to Deliver Justice for All”, prepared by UNDP and the U4 Anti-corruption Centre.
