"Corruption imposes a heavy burden on the global economy, companies and people across the world. Transparency International estimates that the total cost of corruption equals around 5 per cent of global GDP, with over US$1 trillion paid in bribes annually. It adds up to 10 per cent to the total cost of doing business globally and up to 25 per cent to the cost of contracts in developing countries."
