Pacific Anti-Corruption Updates – 11 March 2017: Solomon Islands, Fiji

SOLOMON ISLANDS:
Anti-corruption strategy before Parliament.  Solomon Islands Prime Minister Manasseh Sogavare has moved a motion in Parliament for a resolution by the House to for the Committee of the Whole House to consider the Solomon Islands National Anti-Corruption Strategy.

FIJI:
FICAC investigates alleged Help For Homes Card Scam.  The Fiji Independent Commission Against Corruption (FICAC) has confirmed that an investigation is underway into an alleged scam in the Help for Homes scheme, a government initiative to help people rebuild homes destroyed by Tropical Cyclone Winston.
