on anti-corruption efforts in ASEAN from the Integrity

A video contest open to all those
below 35 years old in Southeast Asia was launched at the International
Anti-Corruption Day Event in Singapore on 9 December 2015. The contest requires
participants to make a short video clip showing the negative impacts of
corruption. Three of the best videos will be selected and the award ceremony
will be held at the “Governance & Social Responsibility” Forum to be held
in Singapore in July 2016 by the ASEAN CSR Network and the Centre for
Governance, Institutions and Organisations (CGIO) of the National University of
Singapore (NUS). Deadline for video submission: 31 March 2016.

to read a UNODC report that was presented and acknowledged by the Sixth Session
of the Conference of the States Parties to the UNCAC in St. Petersburg, Russian
Federation on 2-6 November 2015. This report summarises the work undertaken by
UNODC to assist and collaborate with the private sector combating and
preventing corruption. The report highlights the various collaborative efforts
jointly undertaken by the ASEAN CSR Network and UNODC over the past two years
(see pages 5-7).
Analysis of the important issues in
internal and government investigations across Asia-Pacific, authored by leading
firms. Topics include Managing multi-jurisdictional investigations, Handling
internal investigations in PRC and Hong Kong, plus a review of anti-corruption
enforcement in ASEAN countries, including Myanmar,
Thailand, Singapore
and Vietnam.
Although U.S. companies remain
optimistic about business prospects in the ASEAN region, they identified a
variety of concerns and impediments to their growth in the region. As in
previous years’ surveys, corruption was the top issue across ASEAN, cited by
the majority of respondents in all countries except Brunei and Singapore in the
latest ASEAN Business Outlook Survey by Amcham Singapore and U.S. Chamber of
Commerce.
The purpose of this Guide published
by Clifford Chance is to provide an up-to-date overview of the anti-corruption
regimes in Asia Pacific. This 4th edition has been newly-updated to reflect
recent changes in various countries' legislation.
This Toolkit has been commissioned by the
G20 and the B20 to help SMEs manage one of the biggest challenges companies
face all over the world: corruption. It has been designed for SMEs with limited
time and resource, although it may be useful for larger companies too.
