South African President issues stern warning to the corrupt as he outlines steps to fight state capture. "Corruption is a betrayal of our democracy and an assault on the institutions that we established together to advance the values of our Constitution and the interests of our people."

The Administrative Control and Transparency Authority (ACTA) of Qatar organises training programme on measures to prevent risk of corruption. "The programme, which targeted experts from ACTA and experts concerned with internal control in government institutions in Qatar, reviewed several aspects to enhance the knowledge and skills of participants in corruption risk assessment."

Sri Lanka passes constitutional amendment to trim presidential powers and beef up anti-corruption safeguards. "This amendment will not only help bring about the system change demanded by Sri Lankans it will also help in securing an IMF programme and other international assistance to rebuild the economy."
