Pacific Anti-Corruption Updates 21 April 2017: Fiji, Kiribati, Solomon Islands

FIJI:
Students question Attorney-General on salaries of ministers. High school students questioned the salaries of government ministers during the National Budget Consultation in Sigatoka.
Fraud inquiry. The Republic of Fiji Military Forces (RFMF) is investigating 10 army officers for alleged fraud.
KIRIBATI:
Workshop on good governance. The Kiribati National Audit Office in partnership with the Pacific Association of Supreme Audit Institutions or PASAI delivered a workshop to enhance good governance, transparency and accountability in the island state.
SOLOMON ISLANDS:
Minister arrested on corruption allegations. Anti-corruption investigators have made another high-profile arrest in Solomon Islands.
Vietnamese fishermen charged. The Vietnamese recently caught stealing marine resources will have to fork out $36 million if they want their three blue boats back.
Minister Charged. Provincial Government minister David Tome is accused of stealing his constituency’s money.
